Abstract
This collection is comprised of a memorial book filled with handwritten condolences, memorials, and prayers for the victims of the mass shooting that occurred on October 1, 2017 at the Route 91 Harvest music festival in Las Vegas, Nevada. From October 2-10, 2017, Steve Round watched over a memorial that spontaneously developed in the median of Las Vegas Boulevard near the site of the shooting. Round invited visitors at the memorial, including families and friends of the victims, community members, first responders, and tourists, to sign the book.

Biographical / Historical Note
Stephen "Steve" Round (1970-) is a military veteran who has lived in Las Vegas, Nevada since 2013. Round was a guest at the Aria hotel and casino when the mass shooting occurred at the Route 91 Harvest festival on October 1, 2017. On October 2, 2017 Round began to build a memorial at Reno Avenue at the south end of the Las Vegas Strip. Once the memorabilia from the memorial was taken to the Clark County Museum Round moved to the Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas sign and began to assist in that site's protection until October 10, 2017. As of 2018, Round works as a military contractor.
On October 1, 2017, a gunman opened fire from the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino on Las Vegas Boulevard onto 22,000 people in attendance at the Route 91 Harvest country music festival in Las Vegas, Nevada. 58 individuals were killed, and over 800 people injured. The gunman, Stephen Paddock, died by suicide
