The Trump Taj Mahal Hotel and Casino Publicity Files (2000-2002) consists of photocopies of newspaper clippings that relate to the Trump Taj Mahal Hotel and Casino operations in Atlantic City, New Jersey, collected by the hotel's Public Relations Department. The newspaper clippings cover a wide variety of topics relating to the hotel and casino's operations, including celebrity guests, entertainers, Donald Trump's role in hotel operations, and general Atlantic City gaming.

Biographical / Historical Note

Trump Entertainment Resorts, Inc. was a gaming and hospitality company that owned and operated the Trump Taj Mahal Hotel and Casino, the Trump Plaza Hotel and Casino, and the Trump Marina located in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Previously known as the Trump Hotels & Casino Resorts, the company was founded in 1995 by Donald Trump. The company filed for bankruptcy in 2004, 2009, and 2014. In early 2016 Trump Entertainment Resorts, Inc. became a subsidiary of Icahn Enterprises, and the Trump Taj Mahal closed permanently on October 10, 2016.
