Biographical / Historical Note

Scott Rayer is a radio and television broadcast enthusiast who has been regularly recording (known as airchecking) broadcast radio and TV shows since the 1980s. His interest with television shows about Las Vegas started in the 1970s with the Vega$ television series starring Robert Urich and continued after a visit to Las Vegas in 1985. Rayer moved to Southern Nevada in 2000 and noted the proliferation of programs specifically about tourism in Las Vegas so he continued to record programs from both local and national networks. As of 2023, Rayer resides in Southern Nevada and airchecks television programs about Las Vegas.
