Abstract
The Gladys Boggs Marshall Papers consist of various artistic works created by Gladys Boggs Marshall, written from 1907 to 1974. The papers include several of her poems, a manuscript draft of an unfinished paper "History and Story of Las Vegas," a scrapbook of family photographs, sheet music, and newspaper clippings.

The Gladys Boggs Marshall Papers consist of various artistic works created by Gladys Boggs Marshall, written from 1907 to 1974. The collection contains the following published and unpublished poetry titles: "The Flight of Thought and Other Poems," "The House on Echo Hill and Other Poems," "Ecstasy and Tears," "Rhapsodies," "Above the Crystal Sphere," "Death Valley Scotty," "The Child of Long Ago," and "Echo Hill."

Biographical / Historical Note
Gladys Boggs Marshall (1896-1978) was born in Victor, Colorado on December 15, 1896, and came to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1910. She graduated from Las Vegas High School and married Edward Marshall in 1915. During the 1940s, she lived in San Diego, California, and published some poetry. By 1972, Marshall authored seven books, five of which were published, wrote for national women's magazines, and was a recognized poet and artist. She died in San Diego on August 30, 1978.
