Abstract
The Las Vegas High School Reunion Biography Collection (1983) consists of class rosters, biographies of graduates, and photocopies of original programs from the four graduating classes of 1933 to 1936. The information specific to each year is compiled into its own handmade scrapbook. The materials were created for the 50th reunion of the class of 1933, and the event also included the classes of 1934, 1935, and 1936.

The Las Vegas High School Reunion Biography Collection (1983) consists of class rosters, biographies of graduates, and photocopies of original programs from the four graduating classes of 1933 to 1936. The information specific to each year is compiled into handmade scrapbooks separated by graduation year. The materials were created for the 50th reunion of the class of 1933, and the event also included the classes of 1934, 1935, and 1936. The event was held from September 23, 1983 to September 25, 1983. The biographies contain information such as addresses, spouses, children, and synopses of what the alumni have done in the fifty years since their high school graduation.

Biographical / Historical Note
Las Vegas High School is the oldest continuously operating school in Las Vegas, Nevada. The original building was completed in 1930 at 315 S. 7th Street in downtown Las Vegas, Nevada. The school was built in the Art Deco architectural style on land owned by the Union Pacific Railroad. All high school students in the Las Vegas metropolitan area were educated at Las Vegas High School until 1935, when a high school opened in Boulder City, Nevada, and 1942, when Basic High School opened in Henderson, Nevada. The school continued to operate until 1993, when a new building located at 6500 East Sahara Avenue opened. The name and mascot were transferred to this new location, and Las Vegas High School currently operates at this address.
The building at 315 S. 7th Street reopened in 1993 as a magnet high school for the performing and visual arts, currently called the Las Vegas Academy of the Arts.
