Abstract
The Linda Miller Papers (2008 to 2023) document Dr. Linda Miller's historic preservation work in Las Vegas, Nevada including her work portraying early Las Vegas resident, Helen J. Stewart, at historical events across Southern Nevada. The collection documents Miller's efforts to erect a statue of Helen Stewart at the Las Vegas, Nevada Old Mormon Fort, as well as her contributions to the programming for Sarah Winnemucca Day in 2018. The collection documents Miller's appearances as Helen J. Stewart through photographs, pamphlets, video recordings, digital files, and curriculum used for her outreach work. The collection also documents Dr. Miller's activities as chair for the Nevada State Society chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR).

Biographical / Historical Note
Dr. Linda Karen Miller has helped keep the legacy of Helen Stewart, early Las Vegas, Nevada pioneer, alive since 2003.
Linda Miller was born in Kansas and started teaching in the K-12 school system in both Kansas and Virginia during the 1970s. Miller focused on social studies and often wore costumes to emphasize her lessons. Miller moved to Las Vegas, Nevada in 2002 and discovered the letters of Helen Stewart in 2003 and soon began performing as Helen Stewart. In 2010, Dr. Miller was in charge of fundraising the remaining money necessary for building a statue of Helen J. Stewart at the Old Mormon Fort in Nevada. By 2012, she had completed the project and the statue of Stewart was erected. As of 2020, Miller continues to appear as Stewart in her educational outreach program, Reflections of Early Las Vegas as told by Helen J. Stewart, across Southern Nevada.

Processing Note
Material was minimally processed by Su Kim Chung in 2012. In 2014, as part of a legacy finding aid conversion project, Hana Gutierrez created the collection description to bring it into compliance with current professional standards. Subsequently Hana Gutierrez entered the data into ArchivesSpace. Tammi Kim minimally processed later additions to the collection during accessioning in 2019 and updated the finding aid. In 2020, Sarah Jones transferred the digital files from optical discs and updated the finding aid. In 2021, Tammi Kim minimally processed the 2020 addition and updated the finding aid. In 2022, Sarah Jones processed the 2021 addition and transferred material off three optical discs. In 2022, Tammi Kim rehoused the 2022 addition, transferred material off of one optical disc, and updated the finding aid. In 2023, Tammi Kim rehoused the 2023 addition and updated the finding aid. In 2024, Tammi Kim rehoused the 2024 addition and updated the finding aid.
