Abstract
The Las Vegas Founders Club Records (1983-2013) consist mainly of photographic prints of players, general operations, and events surrounding golf tournaments in Las Vegas, Nevada. The tournaments include the Invensys Classic, Las Vegas Senior Classic, men's and women's Collegiate Championships, and the Las Vegas Invitational. Materials also include media press reports, newspaper and press clippings, and scrapbooks created by the Founders Club. The collection also contains digital photographs from various tournaments in Las Vegas.

Biographical / Historical Note
The Las Vegas Founders Club was created by local Las Vegas, Nevada community members with three goals: to promote Las Vegas as a golf and tourism destination; to promote and facilitate the development of the game of golf in Southern Nevada; and to raise funds for local area charities. The Las Vegas Founders Club was founded in 1981 by Dick Etter, Chuck Ruthe, Herb Jones, Tom Hartley, Tom Wiesner and James Cashman.
The Founders Club operated the PGA Tour stop in Las Vegas for twenty-five years. The Club had numerous sponsors for tournaments throughout the years, such as Panasonic Corporation, Invensys, Michelin, and Fry’s Electronics. For many years, however, the Las Vegas Invitational flourished with the constant support of the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority. The Las Vegas Invitational became the first million-dollar professional tournament on the tour, and more than forty new golf courses were created in Las Vegas over the next twenty years, and many credit the exposure the city received from the nationally-televised professional golf tournaments as the main reason Las Vegas grew into the world's most exciting golf destination. The Founders Club also operated many other professional and amateur golf events, including the Las Vegas Senior Classic, the Rebel Golf Classic, and the Las Vegas Founders Junior Golf Championship. The Founders Club raised millions through tournament activities for its charitable giving arm, the Las Vegas Founders Golf Foundation, and contributed to local charities and national golf organizations.

In 2021, Sarah Jones arranged the materials, wrote the finding aid, and entered the data into ArchivesSpace. In 2022, Emily Lapworth ingested digital files off optical discs, some failed to transfer.
