Show moreThe NCAR Earth Observing Laboratory (EOL) has deployed three GPS stations during the DYNAMO field campaign. Two of these stations were located on the small islands of Gan and Diego Garcia. The third instrument was placed on the R/V Revelle. These three instruments complement existing Indian and Pacific Ocean sites on the islands of Seychelles, Cocos, Christmas, Manus, and Nauru. Estimates of Precipitable Water Vapor (PW) are estimated from each of these sites with 30-minute time resolution. These all weather observations with high temporal resolution are useful in measuring diurnal variability in total column moisture and for calibration of profiling observations from radiosondes. We will report on preliminary results derived from these stations during the DYNAMO field project. Show less
