Patrick Logan joined the 57th Regiment in 1810. In September 1824 the regiment arrived in Sydney and in November 1826 Logan was appointed to command the convict settlement at Moreton Bay where he was killed in 1830. Robert Abraham Logan, his son, also joined the 57th Regiment.
