William Roberts was a Quaker from Burlington County, New Jersey. He was born to Joshua Roberts and Rebecca Stokes Roberts on the 11th of the 8th month 1753. In 1788 Roberts married Elizabeth Grinslade, daughter of John and Elizabeth; the couple had seven children. Roberts was a member of Evesham Monthly Meeting. He died the 17th of 7th month, 1829.
