Howe family.

Solomon Howe (1750-1835) was born in North Brookfield, Mass., and died in New Salem, Mass. He graduated from Dartmouth College in 1777, and was preacher, teacher, printer and farmer simultaneously. His published works include music and poetry: The Farmer's Evening Entertainment...(Northampton, Mass., 1804); Divine Hymns on the Sufferings of Christ...(Greenwich, Mass., 1805); and others.

His son, John Howe (1783-1845), was a printer and publisher of almanacs at Greenwich, Mass., and Enfield, Mass. He published The Christian's Pocket-Companion...(Enfield, 1826). His brother, Solomon Howe (1787-1870), helped him in the printing business.
