Horton, Percy F.

Percy F. Horton (1897-1970) was born at Brighton and educated at the Royal College of Art and the Central School of Arts and Crafts. An Absolutist, he served two years of solitary confinement as a conscientious objector during the First World War. He taught art at Rugby School and the Royal College of Art before becoming Ruskin Master of Drawing at Oxford, 1949-1964.
