Charles P. Staubach (1870-1966) was a sales executive for the Burroughs Corporation who researched the history and genealogy of his family. He was born in 1870 in Fishkill, N.Y. and moved with his family to New York City in 1880. He worked in his family's iron foundry and machine business until it was liquidated in 1884, and graduated from City College in 1887. Staubach served as an officer in the 8th Infantry Regiment of the New York National Guard. An avid cyclist, Staubach was a founder and first president of the Century Road Club Association, a bicycle racing club based in New York City. He worked as a general sales manager for the Burroughs Corporation from 1906 until his retirement in 1929, serving branch offices in Hartford, CT and Newark, NJ. Staubach married Edith Arnold (1871-1945) in 1897 and the couple had three sons, Charles, Arnold, and Lodge, and a daughter Elsie. He died in 1966 at the age of 95.
