Peggy Phyllis Campbell (nee Hussey) married Archibald Campbell in 1939. Archibald Campbell, CMG (1966), joined the Administrative Service in the Gold Coast in 1936 and subsequently worked in the: Colonial Office (1946); Barrister at Law, Middle Temple (1947); Colonial Attach, British Embassy, Washington (1953-1956); Assistant Secretary, Colonial Office (1956-1959 and 1962-1967); Chief Secretary, Malta (1959-1962); Assistant Secretary, Ministry of Defence (1967-1969), and Assistant Under-Secretary of State, Ministry of Defence (1969-1974). Campbell was also a member of the British observer team at the Rhodesian Elections in 1980.
