Monson, Thomas S., 1927-
Variant namesThomas Spencer Monson (born 1927) was called as an Apostle in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1963. He began work with the Deseret News in 1948. In that organization he served as an advertising executive and later Sales Manager of the Deseret News Press. He holds a degree in business from the University of Utah (1948), an MBA from Brigham Young University, and several honorary docorates.
