Universalist minister and educator. B.S., M.I.T., 1909; B.D. St. Lawrence, 1912. After serving several Universalist and Unitarian churches, Robinson joined the faculty of San Jose College in 1928 and became professor and head of the department of philosophy.

Elmo Arnold Robinson ( 1887-1972 ) was born in Portland, Maine, and graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1909, St. Lawrence University in 1912, and Stanford University in 1931 . He was ordained to the Unitarian ministry in Watertown, New York, in 1912 . He served parishes in Smithton, Pennsylvania ; Henderson, New York ; Anderson, Indiana ; Plain City, Ohio ; San Diego and Palo Alto, California ; and Los Alamos, New Mexico . He served as director of the Northern California American Civil Liberties Union from 1926 to 1927 and was a professor of philosophy at San Jose (California) State College from 1928 to 1958 .
