One of the three Tobias brothers, Henry, Charles and Harry, all songwriters; born Sept. 4, 1895; with his brothers wrote lyrics for composers such as Ted Fiorito, Franz Waxman, Percy Wenrich, Albert von Tilzer, Lew Porter, Pinky Tomlin, Charlie Daniels, Jack Stern, Al Sherman, Harry Barris, Will Dillon, Gus Arnheim, and Roy Ingraham; best known songs are It's a lonesome old town, Sweet and lovely, Sail along silv'ry moon, Wait for me Mary, and That girl of mine; died in St. Louis, MO on Dec. 15, 1994.
