Hiroshima Peace Pilgrimage.
Two Hiroshima atomic bomb survivors, Miyoki Matsubara and Hiromasa Hanabusa, accompanied by Barbara Reynolds, visited eighteen countries, including the United States and the Soviet Union. As the Hiroshima Peace Pilgrims, they appealed for the prohibition of testing, manufacturing and stockpiling of nuclear weapons. George Willoughby was the American coordinator of the pilgrimage.
