Legros, Pierre, 1629-1714.
Member of the Académie Royale in 1666, Pierre Legros worked all his life for Louis XIV with the title of "sculpteur du Roy," mostly for sculptural decoration of the château and gardens of Versailles. From 1690 to 1700 he worked on the decoration of the Dôme des Invalides in Paris.
