William Godwin, Jr., English journalist. He was the only son of William Godwin, philosopher and novelist, and the half-brother of Mary Shelley, author of Frankenstein. Godwin was a reporter for the Morning Chronicle from 1823 until his death in 1832. His novel Transfusion was published in 1835, with a memoir prefixed by his father.
