Eau Claire, Wis., land agent.

Born in New York in 1845 and raised near St. Charles, Minn., Boyd enlisted in the 6th Minnesota Regiment in the spring of 1862, was wounded in the Battle of Birch Coulee, and was discharged in 1863. Boyd came to the Chippewa River Valley of Wisconsin in 1868, where he worked on lumber rafts, entered the land business, served as an Eau Claire city councilman, and donated Boyd Park to the city.
