Robert Holbrook graduated from CMU in 1950 with a B.S. in history. While at CMU, he was a member of Alpha Beta Sigma fraternity, serving as secretary, the Student Social Activities Committee, the Social Science Association, the Men's Union, and he served as a Vetville Councilman. His wife Julia (Chestnut) Holbrook graduated from CMU in 1948 with a B.S. in art. While at CMU, she was a member of Phi Delta Eta, serving as secretary, C.M.C.V.A., again serving as secretary, the Masquers, and the Y.W.C.A. Together, the Holbrooks had two children, Joan and Ron. The Holbrooks are both retired teachers who currently live in Seal Beach (Calif.). Gover's was the CMU student book store during the 1940s and 1950s.
