Henry Beckett (1889-1969) was a reporter with the New York Post from 1924 to 1968. During World War I he reported for the Cincinnati Post while serving in a cavalry unit and later participated in the Meuse-Argonne offensive. He interrupted his career to join the United States Army again in 1942 for the duration of World War II. Beckett also loved music and was a friend of social activist John Haynes Holmes.
