Dan Jones (1810-1862) was a Mormon pioneer and missionary. He was the founder of the Welsh Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving between 1852 and 1855. He was also the mayor of Manti, Utah in 1851.

Farmer, explorer, steamboat captain, and Mormon Church leader. Native of Wales, emigrated to the United States in 1840, joined the Mormon Church in 1843 and served as a missionary for that church to Wales (1845-9 and 1852-6), came to Utah in 1849, and served as mayor of Manti, Utah (1851-2).
