B'nai B'rith's Sabato Morais Lodge, Number 464, was founded in 1897 by Eastern European immigrants. In 1904, it consolidated with North Pacific Lodge, Number 314, and became known as Theodore Herzl Lodge, Number 314. In 1905, it consolidated with Oregon Lodge, Number 65, in 1918-1919, it became known as Portland Lodge Number 65. Portland Lodge No. 65 was formed in 1919 by the consolidation and various mergers of five earlier B'nai B'rith lodges: Oregon Lodge, North Pacific, Portland Lodge No. 416, Sabato Morais, and Theodore Herzl; exact historical chronology unavailable.
