Born circa 1885 in Rockhampton, Rex (Reginald Albert) Shaw worked for many years as an architect. In 1931 he joined 2UE as a musical director and later worked for AWA before becoming Managing Director of the Australian record company Prestophone. He was also a musician and composer of popular tunes.
