Miniature painter, Chicago, Illinois. Studied at the Art Institute of Chicago with F.H.C. Sammons and for over three years in Germany with Franz von Lenbach, Franz von Stuck, Roth Deurr, and Max Doerner. She donated 80 of her miniatures to the Illinois Institute of Technology in 1950.

Painter known for miniature portraits, active in Chicago; also a writer and lecturer. Born in Galesburg, Ill.; later resided in Oak Park, Ill. Heuermann's father, Heinrich Wilhelm (Henry William) Heuermann (1824-1909), a chemist and apothecary in Chicago, was born in Neustadt, Holstein, and participated in the 1848 revolution in Germany. Magda Heuermann studied at the Art Institute of Chicago with Henry F. Spread and H.F.C. Sammons; and in Munich with S. Hollosey, Wilhelm Duerr, and Franz von Lehnbach.
