Photographs, playbills, souvenir programs, booklets, flyers, clippings, copies of correspondence, biographical and ephemeral materials chiefly relating to members of the Rankin and Davenport families, many of whom were leading American stage and film actors. Much of the collection dates from the late 19th and early 20th centuries and pertains to E.L. Davenport, his daughter Fanny Davenport (who performed with Augustin Daly's company), son Harry Davenport (famous child star, stage and film actor who played the role of Dr. Meade in Gone with the wind) and Harry's wife Phyllis Rankin (Davenport). Also contains playbills, clippings, biographical and miscellaneous materials on Ethel Barrymore and other members of the Barrymore and Drew families. Includes copies of correspondence from: Eleanora Duse, Edwin Booth and Clyde Fitch.
