Walter William Liggett (1886-1935), American author, editor and political worker, worked at several newspapers in New York City before becoming a free-lance writer. He wrote books about pioneer life and published a biography of Herbert Hoover. In 1932 he returned to his home in Minnesota and was assassinated because of his political writings.
