Harris, George, 1844-1922
Variant namesGeorge Harris was born in Brisbane in 1845 and grew up in Ipswich. He worked on bullock teams delivering goods, and then worked in the timber trade, hauling and rafting timber. He set up his own timber business and bought a selection of land at Cabbage Tree. He retired to Ipswich.
