R. Ruth Linden is a sociologist who specializes in the areas of women's health, the politics of technomedicine, and the Holocaust. She is the author of Making Stories, Making Selves: Feminist Reflections on the Holocaust (1993), which received the Helen Hooven Santmyer Prize in women's studies, and Against Sadomasochism: a Radical Feminist Analysis (1982). She is associate dean of the Graduate School for Holistic Studies at John F. Kennedy University in Orinda, Calif.
