Lucy Leffingwell Cable Bikle was born in 1875.

She was the daughter of Confederate officer and American author, George Washington Cable. She was married to Henry Wolf Bikle and resided in Philadelphia in the 1920s. In 1928, Miss Cable published a biography of her father, "George W. Cable; His Life and Letters."
