Harte, John, fl. 1800.

The identity of this John Harte is uncertain. In the list of subscribers to the Poems, a note in the same hand identifies an earlier "John Harte" as "my Uncle who had disposed of every atom of our Great Poets." The handwriting of John Harte bears little resemblance to that of John Hart, 1755-1800 (cf. W.a.62)
