William Gideon Hamm, 1902-1998, BS, 1921, University of Georgia; MD, 1925, Washington University; was Clinical Professor of Plastic Surgery at Emory University. Hamm was one of the first plastic surgeons in Atlanta, Ga. to complete complicated cleft lip and palate procedures. He was a founding member of the American Board of Plastic Surgery and served as the President of the American Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons in the 1950s.
