Friends of Irish Freedom
Variant namesThe organization evolved from the Irish Race Convention held in New York City after the Easter Rebellion of 1916 in Ireland. The organization's objective was to secure the independence of Ireland from England through fund raising, dissemination of pro-Irish propaganda in the United States, and informing Congress on Irish affairs. The organization dissolved in 1935.
