Victor V. Veysey graduated from Caltech in Engineering and holds a master's degree in business administration from Harvard Business School. He was an instructor and assistant professor at Caltech in industrial relations. During World War II, he managed personnel for the Physics Three Project. In 1949, he became an owner of a farm in Imperial County. In 1962, he was elected to the state assembly, District Forty-three, and served until 1970. His committee service included: Agriculture, Industrial Relations, Ways and Means, and Education. In 1971, he was elected to the U.S. Congress and served two terms. He then was appointed an Assistant Secretary of the Army by President Gerald Ford. In 1977, he returned to Caltech to become Director, Center for Industrial Relations.
