Wealthy colonial New Hampshire jurist and public office holder.

After graduating from Harvard College in 1718, New Hampshire native Theodore Atkinson settled in Portsmouth and held numerous local and colony-wide positions, including assembly representative, sheriff, court of common pleas clerk, militia colonel, customs collector, colony secretary, superior court chief judge, and council member.
