Croswell, William, 1804-1851
Variant namesAmerican clergyman and author William Croswell was born in Hudson, New York, the son of a clergyman. He was educated at Yale, and served as pastor of several churches in New York state and Boston. He wrote numerous poems and hymns, and a collection of sacred and secular poems was published after his death.
