Bénigne Emmanuel Clément Miller, French linguist, historian, and author, who worked in 1833 at the Cabinet des Manuscrits of the Bibliothèque Royale in the Greek manuscripts division, where he recorded his research in a seven volume publication. Miller's writings include INSCRIPTION GRECQUE NOUVELLMENT DÉCOUVERTE AUX ENVIRONS D'ATHÈNE (1865). In 1850 Miller served as bibliographer at the Chambre des Députés; and in 1876 he was appointed Professor of Modern Greek at the Ecole des Langues Orientales, where he remained until his death.
