Bowyer, William, 1699-1777
Variant namesWilliam Bowyer (1699-1777) was the only son of printer William Bowyer (1663-1737). He studied as a sizar at St. John's College, Cambridge, but did not take a degree. Bowyer was printer for the Royal Society and printed votes for the House of Commons as well as some of his own works.
