Art society; Boston, Mass.
Founded in 1879 as the Boston Art Student's Association by pupils of the School of Drawing and Painting at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. Changed its name to the Copley Society of Boston in 1901. Its purpose is to promote interest in art in Boston and to cultivate a spirit of fraternity among artists and art students.
