George Soane was an English dramatist who, in addition to his own plays, translated or adapted the works of other authors and dramatized several novels and short stories. He was the author of a two-volume life of Wellington, 1839-1840. Soane's The Bohemian: A Tragedy in Five Acts (in Prose) was published in 1817.
