Mrs. Charles Albert Cannon (Ruth C. Cannon) was an active clubwoman residing in Concord, N.C. In the 1930s and 1940s, she was a researcher for the Garden Club of North Carolina's project on historic homes. In 1950, she served as chair of the Roanoke Island Historical Association.
