French, Charles, 1753-1834

Charles French was a Quaker from Burlington County, New Jersey. He was born on the 25th of the 10th month, 1753, to Charles French and Ann Clement French. He was a member of Evesham Monthly Meeting, but left the Society of Friends in 1781. Two years later he married Sybilla Stokes, daughter of Joseph Stokes and Atlantic Bispham. He died in 1834 and was buried at Trinity Episcopal Church in Moorestown, New Jersey.
