Hart, John S. (John Seely), 1810-1877
Variant namesAmerican educator and editor, co-editor of Sartain's Union Magazine of Literature and Art from 1849-1851; founder and first editor of the Sunday School Times (1859-1871), and an influential writer in the Sunday-school movement; principal of several schools; and professor of rhetoric and English literature at the College of New Jersey (which later became Princeton University) from 1872-1874.
