Horace McKay (1841-1914) served on Indianapolis City Council and was an organizer of the Consumers Gas Trust Company. Lucy Stone (1818-1893), a founder of the American Woman Suffrage Association, corresponded with Martha Nicholson McKay in the late 1870s.
