Nathan Addison Baker was a pioneer Colo. and Wyo. journalist and businessman. He was born in Lockport, N.Y. on Aug. 3, 1843 and lived in Racine, Wis. 1854-1859 before arriving with his family in Denver, Colo. in March 1860. Baker worked for early Denver newspapers as well as publishing newspapers in Cheyenne, Laramie, and South Park, Wyo. He also worked for the Denver Mint (1906-1921) and was involved with railroad companies, mining and other ventures. Baker died in Denver, Colo. on May 27, 1934.
