Fanwood Decr 22nd 1843. Wm Van Zandt Esq Since my return home I have had a full understanding with my parents relative to the expression of your sentiments towards me. It is unnecessary to enter into any particulars, but it is due to you at once and explicitly to say that I can no longer receive your visits either at Mrs Hane's or at home, in any other light than as a friend. As such my parents desire me to say they will always be happy to see you. Fanny Monroe.
