Dear Sir:-
Enclosed please find draft for $500.00 in
American funds, as per instructions received from Mr. Stefansson
to-day.
In connection with your monthly salary, please be advised that I have opened a savings
account in the main office
of the Bank of Nova Scotia, Vancouver, and deposited your first
salary cheque for the month of July in the amount of $150.00. This
is in accordance with the agreement made between the Company and
yourself.
The reason for putting it in the savings account
is that you will get interest on your money, and you can also use
it as a checking account to the extend of two or three cheques a
month.
Trusting this is satisfactory to you, we remain,
Yours faithfully,
THE STEFANSSON ARCTIC EXPLORATION AND
DEVELOPMENT COMPANY, LIMITED
John Anderson
Secretary,
JA/DHW.
