( ( AMERICAN SOCIETY OF ANDROLOGY ANNUAL MEETING Hyatt Hotel, Hilton Head Island , South Carolina February 23, 1982 The meeting was called to order at 1:00 p.m. by President, Richard M. Harrison. In attendance were the following: Richard Harrison, President Richard Sherins, Vice-President Tom Lobl, Treasurer Howard Nankin, Secretary and 1982 Meeting Co-Chairman William Bremner, Council Lourens Zaneveld, Council Terry Turner, Council and Coordinator of Student Activities Stephen Winters, Council Abraham Cockett, Council Glenn Cunningham, Council Emil Steinberger, Council Nancy Alexander, Liason Committee - Domestic Philip Troen, Liason Committee - Foreign B. Jane Rogers, Constitution and By-Laws Martin Dym, Publication Committee Joseph LaNasa, Jr., t1embership Committee Marie-Claire Orgebin-Crist, Nominating Committee Bruce Schanbacher, Awards Committee Joel Marmar, 1983 Meeting Co-Chairman Gerald Bernstein, 1984 Meeting Co-Chairman Rudi Ansbacher, Future Meetings and 1985 Meeting Co-Chairman R. Donald Eward, Finance Committee and 1985 Meeting Co-Chairman Eberhard Nieschlag, Guest and President, I.S.A. International Society of Andrology Statutes: Dr. Troen described that individual members may JOln the International Society of Andrology from countries without a national society or even if there is a national andrological society. Hopefully, all countries will have andrological societies and individuals will prefer to join through their national society. Dr. E. Nieschlag, a member of A.S.A., was given the floor and he reported that there were five original national societies that comprised the International Society of Andrology and these included Germany, Brazil, Israel, Japan, and The United States. New members will include Italy, Argentina, Canada, Indonesia, Portugal and Spain. Britain and Scandinavia are pending. In addition, there are 120 individual members. The fee system was discussed and there will be a basic fee of $50.00 for each national society and for each individual member of a national society a $1.00 fee will be assessed per year. Individual members who want to apply on their own can do so for $25.00 yearly . Sustaining memberships will range from $500 to $2000 per year. Dr. Frick, the new treasurer for I . S.A. starts with no debts. I.S.A. will not affiliate with any journal. CIDA owns the International Journal of Andrology and this journal will be managed independently of I.S.A.
